2003/2004 Third Meeting
Menorca - Spain
Final Summary
Minutes of Menorca Meeting
Menorca, 14-19 May 2004
1. Evaluation of the project – First year
Involvement in individual schools:
Some schools have found it difficult to involve more pupils and teachers. In Holland, a special week was dedicated to the project “Body in Balance” which involved all disciplines and included activities and initiatives for students and teachers. In Italy, a group of six teachers and pupils from the second, third and fourth years have been involved in the project but only on specific initiatives, such as BMI, research into anorexia, the presentation of the school etc., Almost all the school has had to put in time outside of normal school hours and it hasn’t been easy to involve so many students.
Communication:
The need for partners to communicate more about work being undertaken with students and not just before official meetings to discuss hotels, the organisation of pupils and the visit programme, was highlighted. During this first year of the project there have not been enough teacher exchanges.
It was decided to create a newsletter every two months starting from September.
Final report:
In order to prepare the Italian co-ordinator’s report, each delegation should send a report (a one page Word document) on the objectives achieved and actions undertaken to desdema@tin.it by
20 June 2004.
